D'Pergos and Fender. I've been enjoying the extraordinary clarity and articulation of the ash D'Pergo AVC Limiteds for these new tunes.

Chris Rival at the helm once again.
My usual studio pedal mess consisting of JAM tremelo and chorus pedals, custom Jeorge Tripps/Dunlop Fuzz Face, trusty Maxon AD-900 delay, Occtone boost and modded DS-1, MJM London Fuzz 2 and '60s Vibe, Dunlop Octavio, etc...
I never used an overdrive or boost in the studio until I got the Occtone modded DS-1 and Elmore boost - incredibly natural sounding and feeling pedals.
Young Jessup.
Working title "Trance Groove."
One our favorite clean tone rigs for this session. The vintage RCA broadcast ribbon mic sounds beautiful in front of a small, quiet amp.
Mics on the 50 watt plexi. For the sake of the vintage 25 watt greenbacks in this old cab I'm resisting the urge to use the 100 watt Super Lead on this session after throwing a voice coil out of alignment on the "New Imperial" sessions.
More exciting than a new guitar! Custom Roger Beal bonzer before the first wax.
Blendi's last gig at the later much reviled Dante's corporate blues bar in Marlboro, MA.

Girls gone wild Ft. Myers Beach, FL. Obviously we kept these hot spring breakers dancing to Jackalope as long as possible! They really enjoyed the series of metric modulations during the head.

There is only one way to play this voicing.

Tracking "I am a Centaur." I needed I fresh approach for this tune so I pulled Chris' old Tele off the wall (the strings were about a year old) and we nailed it on that take.
Blendi finds golden tone in "the bass of the Wolf."
The control room at Chris Rival's sounds great for drums so we are playing up there and cranking up the guitar amps in the big room.
Ken Clark nailing a first take Rhodes overdub.
The winning set up for tracking solos on the upcoming CD - Marshall 100 Super Lead screaming on "11," Vox AC30 running with a touch of "hair" on it. Dangerously loud!

Must have been a good take.
